SAIL Match 2

The second Scottish Athletics Indoor League competition takes place next Sunday, 1st December at the Emirates Area in Glasgow. Any Athlete wanting to take part should discuss this with Raymond on Tuesday night at Training.

Places are limited as it is a team competition and Athletes have to be entered by the Club. All athletes should be at the venue for 9.00am as events start at 9.30am.

Anyone wishing to compete and not able to make training this Tuesday should contact Raymond on 07716699707 before the end of day onTuesday.

At the Stewartry Sports Awards, held at the Ernespie House Hotel in Castle Douglas last night, Rosie Porter was voted Junior Sports Personality of the Year. Sponsored by the Co-operative Rosie is pictured below with her Trophy,

Congratulations also to Jo Muir, former member of the club being Awarded the main prize as Sports Personality of the Year. Jo has promised to visit the club in the near future to meet our young Athletes and pass on some advice.


SAIL Match 1

Well done to all Athletes who competed in the recent Scottish Athletics Indoor League Match 1 at the Emirates Arena last Sunday. Everyone appeared to enjoy themselves and put in some very good performances against top quality opposition. A special mention to:

  • Oliver Jack – Shot Put and 800m
  • Alexa Swalwell – 600m and Standing Long Jump
  • Matilda Dale – 800m and Long Jump
  • Finlay Burns – 60m and Long Jump

Their first experience competing indoors.
